# Tank Robot Devlog
3d printed mounting plate to alleviate issue with chassis mounting holes not aligning with boards.
Ran into issues with printer. Had others try printing which succeeded but also ran into weird extrusion issues. (insert picture here)
Weird extrusion stuff turned out to be nonblocking tho, so no biggie.
While testing motors, noticed that it rattled itself apart quite rapidly. To address this, switched from old m3 nuts to m3 nyloks, and for parts that could not be swapped, used blue loctite equivalent.
Next step is to find mounting locations and wire routing for:
- Battery
- Radio receiver
- Power split from 5v line on arduino to receiver and motor controller
- Either BEC to step down power from main battery to arduino, OR separate USB battery pack. Separate pack preferred due to cleaner power line, separation of logic power from high draw power, and ease of implementation. Only downside being size/weight, and additional mounting issues to address
